PURPOSE: To provide a graphite heater in a hot isotactic pressurizing apparatus wherein a prior art lifting tool is used to effectually utilize a columnar space of a graphite heater, and wherein the possibility of damaging the graphite heater is reduced and a handling property upon a workpiece being taken in and out is satisfactory.

CONSTITUTION: A graphite heater 1 is provided in a hot isotactic pressurizing apparatus wherein a workpiece to be heat-treated is taken in and out, and the workpiece placed in a furnace chamber is heated under a gas atmosphere of high temperature and high pressure applying isotactic pressure. In the graphite heater 1, it is displaced cylindrically on an outer periphery of the workpiece, and slits 5 wider than a delivery lifting tool for the workpiece are formed at a predetermined interval downwardly from an upper end.
