Abstract:
To provide a gripping detection device which enables improvement of flexibility of design of a steering.SOLUTION: A gripping detection device 1 generally comprises: a lighting part which is disposed at a spoke part of a steering 8 and outputs illumination light 100 to a ring part 82 of the steering 8; a detection part which is disposed at the spoke part and detects reflected light 101 of the illumination light 100 reflecting on the ring part 82; and a control part 14 which determines if the steering 8 is gripped by an operator based on the reflected light 101 detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
