Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating member which can be manufactured by performing cold rolling on a metal round bar with a pair of rollers to work-harden substantially the entire region of the round bar and improve the strength thereof, and by forming both end parts of the bar into a convex arc-shaped cross section by leaving a curve of the round bar at both of the end parts, thereby providing a soft feeling without having an elastic material layer and the like when touched by a sole and making a manufacturing process of the cold rolling simple to achieve reduction of manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A grating member used in a grating comprises a flat plate formed by performing cold rolling on a metal round bar with a pair of rollers. The flat plate includes: a pair of side surfaces which are cold-rolled; and both end parts formed by being horizontally extended in the cold rolling and having an arc-shaped cross section formed by leaving a curve of the round bar.
