PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake resisting fixed apparatus and an earthquake resisting gravestone structure capable of being used also for a location wherein a room to house the ashes of the dead is placed without falling a gravestone down or being slipped off even if a big earthquake occurs.
SOLUTION: The earthquake resisting gravestone structure is equipped with the gravestone consisting of one or more stones, a foundation section for supporting the gravestone, the room to house the ashes of the dead formed as a hollow laid across the gravestone and the foundation section and a vibration isolation unit placed so as to intervene between the gravestone and the foundation section, and the vibration isolation unit is so constituted that two or more frame members arranged so as to surround the outside of the hollow of the room to house the ashes of the dead and an elastic member elastically connecting the mutual frame members arranged between these frame members are made as an integral unit, the vibration isolation unit is installed on the foundation section, and the gravestone can be supported on the vibration isolation unit.
