Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravity-type breakwater that has a persistent configuration preventing all functions from being lost in a moment, even when subjected to an action of a load associated with great energy of an unanticipated tsunami and the like, while having a relative simple configuration.SOLUTION: A support structure 5 for protection against waves, which is arranged on a mound 3 provided on ground 2, is formed in such a curved shape as to be convex in a direction opposite to a heavy structure 4 in a plan view. Sides of both ends abut on the heavy structure 4 in an unconnected state. An upper end side is driven into the ground 2 in the state of protruding upward from the mound 3 where the heavy structure 4 is arranged.
