To provide a gravity type tilting metallic mold casting apparatus in which molten metal pouring speed for preventing entrapment of air and an oxide film is controlled so that peripheral speed is made slow by minimizing the tilting radius of the center in the upper and the lower metallic molds without extending the tilting process time, the upper part in the lower metallic mold is brought into an open state when the upper metallic mold is opened, and which is miniaturized by minimizing the apparatus tilting radius and shortening the height of the apparatus, and installed in a small space without sacrificing the workability of a core assembling and a casting taking-out works and without requiring a pit.
A metallic mold opening/closing mechanism 50 for opening/ closing the upper and the lower metallic molds 17, 10, is constituted so as to be tiltable with horizontal-state main body rotating shaft 3, 3, of which the center line is passed through almost the center of gravity of the metallic mold opening/closing mechanism 50, and a tilting means 19, and a molten metal pouring means 52 for pouring the molten metal into the upper and the lower metallic molds 17, 10, is fitted to a main body frame 4.
