PURPOSE: To obtain the gravure printing plate of easy proofreading by making a continuous gradation tone printing original plate film from the original and performing printing and proofreading printing to the printing plate then making the continuous gradation positive for gravure printing from the original plate film.

CONSTITUTION: In general, a continuous gradation positive for screenless printing having gradation curves 2 of inverted S form is considered required from the need of matching to the characteristics of the diazo PS plate used as a printing plate for screenless printing and this positive may be obtained by using an electronic photoengraving machine or the like. This is printed to obtain the proofreading print, after which it is changed to the positive of the curve 1 by the electronic phtoengraving machine or the like whereby the continuous gradation positive for gravure printing is readily obtained.
