Abstract:
To provide a new gravure platemaking roll having an iron-phosphor alloy plated layer as a surface reinforcing coating layer with neither toxicity nor risk of causing environmental pollution, and having excellent plate wear, and a method of manufacturing the gravure platemaking roll.
The gravure platemaking roll includes a plate matrix, a copper plated layer formed on the surface of the plate matrix and formed with a lot of gravure cells on the surface, and the iron-phosphor alloy plated layer coating the surface of the copper plated layer. The thickness of the copper plated layer is 50-200 m, the depth of the gravure cells is 1-150 m, and the thickness of the iron-phosphor alloy plated layer is 0.1-15 m.
