The driving speed Vs of a side-lay driving motor 17b, 17c, 17d per rotation of the plate cylinder 11b, 11c, 11d based on the calculated out-of-register size Ek. The side-lay driving motor 17b, 17c, 17d is controlled so as to drive the side-lay driving motor 17b, 17c, 17d at the calculated driving speed Vs.
