PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for an expensive equipment, and to reduce the cost of printing by comparatively increasing difference in dimensions of the width of a plate cylinder and an impression cylinder and passing printing sheets near both edges of the plate cylinder at intervals in the upper section of the plate cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: Printing sheets 5 are elongated and wrinkles are generated when spaces among the printing sheets 5 near both ends of a plate cylinder 1 and the plate cylinder 1 are too large, and there is possibility in which the ink of the plate cylinder 1 adheres on the surfaces of the printing sheets 5 when the spaces are too small, thus bringing the spaces to approximately 10mm. Difference in dimensions of the width of the plate cylinder 1 and an impression cylinder 4 depends upon spaces with the printing sheets 5 near both edges of the plate cylinder, the material of the printing sheets, the coverage of ink and other factors, but approximately 10cm is formed normally on one side as the difference. Consequently, difference in dimensions of the width of the plate cylinder and the impression cylinder is increased comparatively, and the printing sheets near both edges of the plate cylinder can pass at intervals in the upper section of the plate cylinder, thus preventing adhesion on the surfaces of the printing sheets of ink protruding at both edges of the plate cylinder. Accordingly, printing can be conducted at low cost with a small printer.
