Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the title grease which does not cause the vibration of a constant-velocity joint and can reduce the generation of heat of friction by mixing a base oil with a thickener and a specified organomolybdenum compound.
CONSTITUTION: The title grease is prepared by adding a thickener and at most 10wt.% organomolybdenum compound component comprising a molybdenum phosphate of formula I (wherein R is prim. or sec. alkyl or aryl; and x, y and z are each equal to or smaller than 3) and optionally a molybdenum/amine complex of formula II and a molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate of formula III or a molybdenum dialkyldithiophosphate of formula IV and optionally an organozinc compound of formula V to a base oil comprising a mineral oil or synthetic hydrocarbon oil having a viscosity suitable for lubricating oil.
