Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition having both a bearing life and low temperature property which are a practical performance of grease, and having a stable lubrication function in a wide temperature range.SOLUTION: The grease composition containing a base oil and calcium complex soap as a thickener comprises: a substituted or unsubstituted C18-C22 linear higher fatty acid, an aromatic monocarboxylic acid having a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring, and a saturated C2-C4 linear lower fatty acid, as the carboxylic acid constituting the calcium complex soap. The substituted or unsubstituted C18-C22 linear higher fatty acid includes behenic acid, and the amount of behenic acid used is 25 mass% or more and 70 mass% or less in mass ratio based on the total amount of the substituted or unsubstituted C18-C22 linear higher fatty acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
