Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically, safely, and efficiently supply grease to the chock of a rolling roll by a grease gun.
CONSTITUTION: A grease gun 9 is advanceably and retreatably supported by a rail 17 provided on a chock receiving stand 6, and the grease gun 9 can advance and retreat toward a roll chock 5 to be mounted at a roll end on a roll placing stand by a hydraulic cylinder 21 to be controlled by a controller 26. On the grease gun 9, a valve is provided, by which grease is supplied by opening when a pushing force when the valve is pushed by the nipple 25 of the roll chock 5 reaches a set pressure, and by which the supply of the grease is stopped by closing when the pushing force becomes the set pressure or below. The grease gun 9 is advanced by the hydraulic cylinder 21, and when the valve is opened by being pushed by the nipple 25 of the roll chock 5, a timer 27 is started. When the timer 27 reaches a set time, the solenoid valve 20 of the hydraulic cylinder 21 is changed over, and the grease gun 9 is retreated.
