To provide a greening pavement for raising plants without sprinkling water even if dry weather continues by storing a predetermined amount of water in a base course layer during rainfall, taking no trouble to raise the plants, remarkably reducing an operation and maintenance cost and allowing the travel of vehicles.

This greening pavement is composed of the base course layer using water retentive soil formed on the upper face of a subgrade; a water storage means with a large number of water storage containers provided in the base course layer to store the predetermined amount of water, or waterproof sheets arranged in container shape; a sand cushion layer formed using sand on the upper face of the base course layer; a block layer for water retention or the like with blocks for water retention or the like laid through joint spacers to allow the travel of vehicles; and a greening layer comprising cultivation soil filled in the planting joint parts of the block layer for water retention or the like, and plants such as lawn grass planted on the cultivation soil.
