PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder having an excellent work efficiency.SOLUTION: A grinder 1 comprises: a work-piece holding part 10 which holds a work-piece W and rotates the work-piece around a rotation axis O along a Z direction; a grind stone holding part 20 which holds a grind stone T and rotates the grind stone T around a rotation axis P along the Z direction; first displacement means 30 which performs relative displacements of the work-piece holding part 10 and the grind stone holding part 20 in the Z direction; second displacement means 40 which performs relative displacements of the work-piece holding part 10 and the grind stone holding part 20 in an X direction; an input part 51 which receives input of an indicated value concerning motion of each displacement means 30, 40; and a control part 55 which controls motion of each displacement means 30, 40 on the basis of the inputted indicated value. The indicated value is an inclination angle of a taper face with respect to the Z direction when the grind stone T is relatively reciprocated along the taper face having a symmetric axis in the Z direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
