To provide a grinder by which round toner particles are manufactured efficiently and stably at a high toner productivity.
The grinder is equipped with a powder inlet, a stator, a rotor attached to a center rotating shaft and a powder outlet, wherein the rotor is located inside the stator so that a specified clearance is secured between the surface of the stator and the surface of the rotor to form a grinding zone. The grinder both the stator and the rotor of which have a plurality of projecting and recessed parts is characterized in that there is a correlation of BRcARc or BRcCRc and the differences between BRc and each of ARc and CRc are 50 m or more and 300 m or less, wherein Rc indicates the distance between the top (Ra) of the projecting part and bottom (Rb) of the recessed part of the rotor; and ARc, BRc and CRc indicate Rc at the powder inlet side, Rc at the center part and Rc at the powder outlet side, respectively.
