Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a grinder for spice, by which ground coarseness can be adjusted accurately from outside by operating a knob or collar of the same. CONSTITUTION: A grinding room 18 is formed at the lower end of a container 12, into which a grinding mechanism 20 is stowed. Adjustment of grinding coarseness and operation of the grinding mechanism 20 are performed by rotation of an adjustment cover or a knob 32. The adjustment knob 32 is fixed to a positioning ring 34, and rotation of the ring 34 causes rotating movement of a shaft 26 and grinding operation of the grinding mechanism 20. An adjustment nut 60 is supported by a shaft part 58, and the same has a spiral lower face 62 facing downward and is engaged with a cam face 54 facing upward. The rotation of the nut 60 adjusts the coarseness via the cam face 54 with a large pitch, adjusting vertical direction of the center shaft 26, that is, adjusting vertical direction of an inside grinding head 24 of the grinding mechanism 20.
