Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder capable of confirming an appropriate implementation of truing.SOLUTION: A grinder 1 comprises: spindle stock 20 for rotatably supporting a work-piece W; a grinding wheel 50 for grinding the work-piece W; a truer 60 for truing the grinding wheel 50; a sensor 100 for detecting a surface roughness of an object to be ground, which is either the work-piece W or an object other than the work-piece W ground with the grinding wheel 50; and a control unit 110 for performing control associated with truing to the grinding wheel 50. The control unit 110 comprises: a determination part 132 for determining whether or not the surface roughness S of the object to be ground which has been ground just after implementation of the truing to the grinding wheel 50, has reached a predetermined surface roughness Sth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
