Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powder having desired particle size distribution.
SOLUTION: A grinding apparatus 10 includes a grinder 14 for grinding a material to be ground such as a rare earth metal alloy. The grinder 14 includes a grinder body 26 having a powder classifying rotor 36 provided to the internal upper portion thereof. Three leg parts 42 are provided to the outer periphery of the grinder body 26 at an equal interval to support the grinder body 26 at a position above the center of gravity of the grinder 14 and wt. detectors 46 are provided to the respective leg parts 42 to detect the wt. of the grinder 14 within which the material to be ground is stagnated. Flexible pipes 34, 70 are respectively provided between the raw material charging machine 12 supplying the material to be ground to the grinder 14 and the grinder 14 and between the grinder 14 and a powder recovery tank 18. On the bas is of the detection results of the wt. detectors 46, a control part 48 controls the supply amt. of the material to be ground to the grinder 14 so that the material to be ground in the grinder 14 becomes constant quantity by proportional integral and differential control.
