PURPOSE: To allow a snowboat or snowboard to freely edge so as to be able to turn, brake or traverse on a slope, etc., without securing the legs of the user via shoes to the snowboat or the like by providing projecting members by which the point where the user applies force is moved, in particular, to the outside of the edge.

CONSTITUTION: Projecting members 310, 320, formed in the main body of a snow surface coasting tool, such as a snowboat or a snowboard, are so designed that, while an edge at one end of the coasting surface 200 of the coasting tool main body serves as a fulcrum, the shift of the weight of the user makes the point of application of force move to the outside of the edge; at least a pair of right and left projecting members 310, 320 may be formed along the longitudinal direction of the coasting surface of the coasting tool main body.
