Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding machine utilizing a tailstock whose structure can be simplified.SOLUTION: A tailstock 30 comprises: a first body 110 which is mounted with a center 100; and a second body 120 which can move in a rotation axis-line direction of a workpiece W with respect to the first body 110, can move in the rotation axis-line direction of the workpiece W with respect to a head 10, and is driven by a tailstock driving device 73, so that the second body 120 pressurizes the first body 110 in a direction in which the body is made approach the workpiece W. The first body 110 comprises: a first body base 111 to which a first slider 32a is fixed; and a first body extending part 112 which is positioned away from the rotation axis-line direction of the workpiece W with respect to the first slider 32a, and which extends upward from an end surface in a rotation axis-line direction of the workpiece W, of the first body base 111, and supports a center 100, at a position upper than an upper surface of the first body base 111.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
