Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform a work for removing a flaw especially in the longitudinal direction at a low price, safely and efficiently by specifying and displaying the longitudinal range of a shape steel surface flaw by a magnet striker and grinding the shape steel surface flaw by a paper disc while a grinder is forced to self-run forward and backward.

CONSTITUTION: In a grinding method for a shape steel surface flaw, for example, a flange paer 11 of a H-steel 1 is used as a guide rail, a web part 12 thereof is used as a running rail, and a self-running grinder 10 is installed on the H-steel 1. A grinding mechanism 5 of the grinder 10 is formed by a paper disc 4 where sand paper is staked in multi-layer, the longitudinal range of the H-steel surface flaw is specified and displayed by a magnet striker, and the grinder 10 is forced to self-run forward and backward in the range to grind the H-steel surface flaw by the paper disc 4. The reciprocating self-running is repeated until the flaw is removed completely, and after the surface flaw on one side is removed, the grinder 10 is turned in 180-degree arc so as to grind the other flange part surface flaw.
