PURPOSE: To provide a grinding method to wash the part of a grinding wheel not in contact with a work, while grinding the work with the grinding wheel.

CONSTITUTION: An abrasive grain part 35 on a separate position in the radial direction from the rotation center of a grinding wheel 28 is contacted with a work 26. Grinding liquid is oscillated by ultrasonic wave with an ultrasonic wave oscillator 30, injected toward the abrasive grain part 35 in the separate position from the abrasive grain part 35 in contact with the work 26, and hence the abrasive grain part 35 is washed while grinding the work 26 with the grinding wheel 28.
