Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding powder collector for a dry grinding machine capable of reducing residual grinding powder and shortening a maintenance time as well as reducing a dose of exposure during maintenance work, if applied for grinding radioactive pellets.
SOLUTION: The grinding powder collector for the dry grinding machine comprises a grinding wheel 3, a grinding casing 7, a grinding powder collecting reservoir 5 provided under a work and a grinding powder collecting pipe 6 for introducing powder into the debris collector. The grinding powder collecting reservoir 5 has grinding debris guide means 8 for locally trapping grinding powder near the work and guiding it to the entrance of the grinding powder collecting pipe and auxiliary debris collecting means which consists of powder floating means 10 for floating the grinding powder deposited on the grinding wheel and the grinding casing with the flow of air, debris air carrying means for carrying the floated debris with air and powder discharging means 12 for introducing the floated debris into the powder collector.
