To provide a grinding roll for rice polishing capable of preventing adhesion of bran generated when rice grains are polished, as well as, capable of enhancing rice polishing efficiency.SOLUTION: A grinding roll for rice polishing being used when rice grains are polished, is an electrodeposited whetstone including a base metal which is electrodeposited with super-abrasive grains on a surface thereof, and which has a cylindrical outer peripheral surface. The outer peripheral surface is formed with a plurality of concaves having opening edges in a peripheral direction being a direction intersecting a rotational direction. The outer peripheral surface of the base metal is electrodeposited with the super-abrasive grains. Each concave has dimensions greater than a grain size of the super-abrasive grain. The super-abrasive grain is preferably a diamond abrasive grain or a cBN abrasive grain. The base metal is cylindrically formed of a plurality of laminated annular discs. The cylindrical outer peripheral surface is preferably formed of top surfaces with being concave and convex cyclically formed on outer peripheral edges of the respective annular discs. The base metal is preferably formed of the plurality of annular discs laminated with concaves and convexes of the adjacent annular discs arranged at a predetermined pitch phase misaligned with each other in the peripheral direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
