PURPOSE: To obtain a flat surface whose surface roughness is minimized allowing a grinding stone to keep sharpness by alternately laying thin super abrasive grain grinding stone plates and thin thermosetting resin plates.

CONSTITUTION: A grinding stone for super finish is constituted in such a way that thin grinding stone plates 1 made of super abrasive grains and thin resin plates 2 made of thermosetting resin are layered alternately in sandwich-like state in a plurality of layers. As a result, in spite of using the super abrasive grain grinding stone plates 1 which grind well, some of super abrasive grains do not drop out or grind excessively for preventing a workpiece from producing grinding scratches. The elasticity of the thermosetting resin plates 2 keeps the projection quantity of the super abrasive grains constant and maintains their sharpness for a long time for minimizing the roughness of the surface.
