Abstract:
PURPOSE: To impart a cleaning function usable during rotation to a honing tool equipped with retreating mechanism for honing stone and eliminate accumulated matter to extend the effective usable time of the tool. CONSTITUTION: In this tool, a tool body provided with sliders 78 and 88 consisting of a grinding stone base and the grinding stone and retreating and protruding through a slit 64 provided in a cylinder and pressing bars 70 and 80 are concentrically arranged, and spiral grooves 67 and 77 are provided on the wall surfaces of sliding holes 65 and 75 formed between them, so that a strong flow of washing solution is sent into each sliding hole through the grooves from an injection port 69 to discharge the chip, peeled abrasive grain, or the like accumulated in the inner part from the opening end of the tool front surface.
