Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orbital sander using an electric motor as a drive source for performing a grinding work by orbitally moving a sandpaper mounted on a grinding pad, in the present invention that contemplates enhancing the usability of the orbital thunder while reducing a battery cost, and to solve such a problem that, in the case where a chargeable battery is used as an electric power source, since it is necessary to prepare a battery for an output voltage fitting the rating voltage of the electric motor, the battery cost is raised so that an orbital sander of a high output is hardly utilized.SOLUTION: Two batteries of an output voltage of 18 V are connected in series so that they function as a power source of a total output voltage of 36 V. As a result, an orbital thunder of a 36 V specification of a higher output can be utilized while reducing a battery cost.
