Abstract:
To provide a long life grinding tool having structure that can be manufactured with ease and is not restricted by the shape and material of a recessed pedestal.
The surface 10a of the recessed pedestal 10 of this grinding tool is coated with an electroless plated layer 11 such as nickel and cobalt. In addition, on the layer 11, a diamond abrasive grains, CBN abrasive grains and other abrasive grains are randomly bound and held by an electroless plated layer comprising the same film composition forming multiple layers as that of the electroless plated layer 11 that is a substrate, resulting in the formation of an abrasive grain layer.
