Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dressing of a grinding wheel for plunge grinding.
SOLUTION: A grinding wheel surface dressing method by a rotary dresser to the grinding wheel for grinding a workpiece having a conical surface, dresses a grinding wheel surface in a rotation stopping state of the rotary dresser when dressing the grinding wheel surface for performing plunge grinding on the conical surface of the workpiece, and renews a bus bar of the rotary dresser for contacting with the grinding wheel surface by putting the rotary dresser in a stopping state by changing a stopping- rotating phase of the rotary dresser every time when dressing the grinding wheel surface. This grinding wheel dressing device has the rotary dresser 13 having a rotary surface for dressing the grinding wheel surface G for performing the plunge grinding on the conical surface W2 of the workpiece W, a driving motor 12 for rotatably driving a rotatable dresser shaft attached with the rotary dresser, and a control part 20 for controlling rotation-stopping of the driving motor, and renewing the bus bar of the rotary dresser for contacting with the grinding wheel surface by putting the rotary dresser in a stopping state by changing the stopping-rotating phase of the rotary dresser every time when dressing the grinding wheel surface when dressing the grinding wheel surface for performing the plunge grinding on the conical surface of the workpiece.
