To allow anyone to simply measure in a short period of time a grinding wheel gap in the respective axial positions between the outer peripheral surfaces of a grinding wheel and an adjusting wheel.
A base 2 loaded with an electric micrometer 1 is provided with: a first guide element 3 laid along the axial direction of the outer peripheral surface of the adjusting wheel 11; and a second guide element 4 laid along the axial direction of the outer peripheral surface of the grinding wheel 12. The first guide element 3 is placed on an upward support surface 13a of a blade 13 inclined to the adjusting wheel 11 side and abutted on the outer peripheral surface of the adjusting wheel 11, the second guide element 4 is abutted on the outer peripheral surface of the grinding wheel 12 with a tilting moment of the base 2 taking the first guide element 3 as a fulcrum, the base 2 is moved in the axial direction between the grinding wheel 11 and the adjusting wheel 12, a measuring terminal 1a of the electric micrometer 1 is abutted on the outer peripheral surface of the grinding wheel 12 in the same horizontal plane as the abutting position of the first guide element 3 to the adjusting wheel 11, whereby a grinding wheel gap in the respective axial positions can be simply measured in a short period of time by anyone.
