Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for guiding the gripper bars of a double- gripper weaving machine which eliminates the drawbacks of the poorness, wear, etc., of setting.
CONSTITUTION: This gripper guide includes drive wheels 2 and 2' located on one lateral side of the two gripper bars 4 and 4' arranged one above the other and two guide strips extended along the gripper bars in their moving direction. Two rollers are arranged to face the drive wheels on the other lateral side of the gripper bars. The gripper bars are held by these rollers and the drive wheels 2 and 2' and the other lateral sides of the gripper bars are provided with slide strips 8 and 8' in parallel to the guide strips The gripper bars are movable forward and backward between the guide strips and the slide strips 8 and 8' and come into contact with the slide strips on the other lateral side.
