Title:
GRIPPING CHOPSTICKS FOR CHARGING METAL MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07328938
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily charge a metal material into a melting furnace without receiving radiation heat by extending the right and left grip sections, bending the respective base sections in the direction perpendicular to the opening/closing direction, and symmetrically forming elliptic rings.

CONSTITUTION: Two steel wires 3 each having a circular arc-shaped pinch section 1 and a grip section 2 are pivotally supported by a pin 4 openably/ closably to form gripping chopsticks 5a. The grip sections 2 are extended, and base sections are bent in the direction perpendicular to the opening/closing direction of the grip sections 2. Elliptic rings 6, 6 are symmetrically formed at the bent portions. The elliptic rings 6, 6 are held, and a metal material is pinched by the pinch sections 1 and inserted into a melting furnace. Hands are not exposed to the heat of the melting furnace, no radiation heat is received, and the metal material can be easily charged. A spring cylinder may be provided between the elliptic rings 6, 6 to be slid by the opening/closing action of the grip sections 2 as an aid for the gripping action.
