Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of mutual copy on gripped and contacted printing surfaces and grip failure in a gripping device for a rotary press even when operation speed varies.
SOLUTION: This gripping space automatic adjusting device for automatically adjusting a space of a both gripping member at gripping paper is provided with a space adjusting mechanism 10 capable of varying the gripping space which is the space of the both gripping member at gripping the paper; a driving means 30 connected to the mechanism in order to drive and operate the space adjusting mechanism; a speed detecting means 50 for detecting operation speed of the rotary press; a space detecting means 70 for detecting a size of the gripping space adjusted by the space adjusting mechanism; and a space adjustment control means 90 connected to the speed detecting means, the space detecting means and the driving means, and operating the driving means based on an output signal of the speed detecting means and an output signal of the space detecting means.
