To provide a grommet (22) being inserted into the hole (44) of a panel (24) extending along the axis (A).
A grommet (22) includes a hollow funnel-like section (32) inclining for the axis (A) so that a portion of which is compressed radially inward during insertion into a hole (44), and terminating at a circular projection line (40). The grommet (22) further includes a holding groove (48) adjacent to the projection line (40), and receiving a panel (24) when the grommet (22) is inserted completely into the hole (44). A series of recesses (62) are provided in the inner side face (56) of the grommet (22). These recesses (62) are configured to expand when the funnel-like section (32) passes through the hole (44) during insertion of the grommet (22) into the hole (44).
