PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an insertion force of leg pieces into a rectangular hole or a depressing force to be lower through a temporary fixing operation by restricting a reduction of a temporary fixing force and to improve temporary fixing operation characteristics.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a grommet 1 comprising a flange 2 covering a rectangular hole 8a of a member to be fixed; a pair of leg pieces 3 arranged at the flange 2 and an insertion hole 11 punched at the flange 2 to guide a screw member 6 into a clearance between the leg pieces. Each of the leg pieces 3 is temporarily fixed while being inserted into the rectangular hole 8a along with a displacement in a diameter shrinking direction, the screw member 6 is screwed between the leg pieces from the open hole of a fixing member 7 and the insertion hole 11, fully fixed and the fixing member 7 is fixed to the member 8 to be fixed under a state in which the fixing member is held between the flange 2 and a head part 6a of the screw member. The outer surface of each of the leg pieces 3 forms a root part and has a planer side surface part 4 that can be engaged with a corresponding inner surface of the rectangular hole 8a and an arcuate arc-side surface part 5 forming an extremity end side from the planar side surface part to cause a shape in a plate width direction to have an approximate intermediate part in the plate width as a maximum expanded part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
