Abstract:
To automatically and accurately chamfer an annular groove corner part formed around the outer surfaces of a work.
A backup member 4 energized to a groove corner part We in the radial direction of a work W is provided. Also an inclined surface 4a with an angle equal to the chamfered angle of the groove corner part We is formed at the top end of the backup member 4, an abrasive tape 6 is stuck to the inclined surface 4a, and that tape 6 is pressed against the groove corner part We. In addition, a wind-up mechanism is provided in which the abrasive tape 6 is installed slidably across the inclined surface 4a, and the abrasive tape 6 let off from a tape reel is passed through the inclined surface 4a and taken in.
