Abstract:
To provide a groove polishing body that can smoothly polish a groove surface of a groove formed on an object to be polished, without generating stripe-shape irregularities and can be easily prepared without needing special shaping-work such as truing.SOLUTION: A groove polishing body 20A has a polishing part 22A that is pressed against a groove surface of a drill groove 2a formed on a drill 2 and is configured to polish the groove surface of the drill groove 2a by rotating the polishing part 22A around a rotation axis line S1 extending in a width direction of the drill groove 2a. The polishing part 22A has plate-like polishing elements 31 and 32, arranged to correspond to both sides of the polishing part 22A with a center line M in the width direction of the part as a reference, which can warp in response to pressing force to the groove surface of the drill groove 2a. The two polishing elements 31 and 32 are obliquely arranged so that tips thereof or extension lines at the tip sides cross each other at an acute angle toward a rotation direction R of the polishing part 22A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
