Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure the motion of a cam roller on a cam changeable of the profile, by providing a groove on the peripheral surface of the cam to enable the cam roller to follow up the profile of the cam even in its rapid motion. CONSTITUTION:A first forming member consists of a first inner wall 8 and a first outer wall 10. A second forming member consists of a second inner wall 9 and a second outer wall 11. The first forming member is secured on the second forming member in such a manner that the first forming member is turned within a prescribed range of angle centering a cam shaft 1. Inner cam surfaces 4, 4' are separated from outer cam surfaces 7, 7' by a distance equal to the diameter of a cam roller, along all the cam surfaces. The first and the second forming members are shaped so as to be coincident with each other so that an outer arc- shaped surface 5 most distant from the center of the cam shaft 1 and an inner arc-shaped surface 6 least distant from the center of the cam shaft extend without discontinuity.
