PURPOSE: To provide an economical grooved forming roll for manufacturing a odd-shaped cross-sectional strip which is used for the case of manufacturing the odd-shaped cross-sectional strip with a shape having step parts by which the thickness in the width direction is made to differ by cold rolling with high dimensional accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: This roll is used by expanding a sleeve 4b in the radial direction by supplying a pressure medium to a pressure chamber 4c which is a clearance formed between arbors 4a and the sleeve 4b whose both ends are fitted into the arbors 4a and bringing the inner peripheral surface of grooved roll part 4f by which a strip material is cold rolled into the deformed cross-sectional strip into tight contact with the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 4b. The inner peripheral surface of the grooved roll part 4f is made in a concave crown shape in its axial direction, holding sleeves 4e, 4e' are positioned and fixed to the sleeve 4b on both sides of the grooved roll part 4f and further fixing members 4h, 4h' are positioned and fixed on both sides of the holding sleeves.
