Abstract:

To acquire a ground characteristic highly correlated with a traction performance as a vehicle traveling performance.

A ground characteristic acquisition method includes: a measurement step of measuring a resistance force acting on a friction test component provided with a rubber in a contact part coming into contact with a ground, while moving the friction test component at a predetermined moving speed in a state that it is pressed to the surface of the ground at a predetermined pressure; a calculation step of calculating a coefficient of friction between the ground and the rubber on the basis of the measured resistance force; and a control step of changing the pressure and the moving speed individually to control so that the coefficient of friction is calculated at a plurality of combinations of the pressure and the moving speed.
