To easily weave, to impart sufficient high density and low air permeability, to lighten and to compactly store, by using synthetic fabric wherein given pieces of warp and/or weft threads are wavily formed together in a harmonious combination state with a product of a thread number by a raw yarn fineness within a given range.
This ground fabric is woven with threads wherein two or three warp and/or weft threads are integrated together in a harmonious combination state like one wavy thread. By imparting this weaving texture to the ground fabric a high-density and low air-permeable fabric can be woven without especially increasing intertwist and devising a special loom. A product (a total fineness) of a number by a whole fineness (dTex) of raw yarns having a wavy shape together is preferably 70 or above and 167 or less. Thereby, the basic fabric can have a pressure-resistant strength necessary for an air bag, is lightened, and can be compactly stored.
