To provide a ground fault interrupter for preventing burnout of a solenoid coil which occurs when a voltage is continuously applied on the solenoid coil to operate when contact fusion with a power supply line of the ground fault interrupter and electrical leakage continuously occur.
The ground fault interrupter interrupts a contact connected to a power supply when the voltage is applied on the solenoid coil 500 and electrical leakage occurs. The ground fault interrupter includes a power supply rectifying part 100 for rectifying the power supply, a detecting part 300 including an image current transformer for detecting an electrical leakage state, a control part 200 in which a latch circuit is incorporated and which transmits a control signal in receiving an electrical leakage detecting signal from the detecting part, a thyristor 400 which is turned on in receiving the control signal so that the voltage is applied on the solenoid coil, and a signal interrupting part 600 for interrupting input of the control signal to the thyristor when a certain time passes after the thyristor is turned on.
