PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely evaluate the rigidity of the ground by measuring the original accurate rigidity of the ground without exerting the effect of load history on the ground and enhancing the correlation with another on-the-spot testing method such as a flat plate loading test or the like.
SOLUTION: A dropping height is changed so as to become high gradually and a weight is continuously dropped on a loading surface one by one at the respective changed dropping heights. Since the ground is gradually consolidated by finely dividing the dropping height to perform only main loading one by one without performing preparatory loading, the original accurate rigidity of the ground can be measured. Impact load is instantaneous load but, since the main loading is continuously perform one by one by gradually increasing the dropping height to measure the cumulative displacement of the ground, initial loading rigidity having high correlation with respect to the loading rigidity at the time of monotonous loading of the flat plate loading test can be acquired by mutually connecting the displacement points to an applied load peak point.
