Abstract:
To improve impact reducing performance when a collision body performs a secondary collision with the ground surface.
A control circuit 16 holds an ON signal of a bumper contact sensor 14 for prescribed time when the sensor 14 is turned ON. When the control circuit 16 determines that the ON signal of the bumper contact sensor 14 is held and a hood contact sensor 20 is turned ON, an inflator 30 of this ground surface air bag device 24 is operated to expand and deploy a ground surface air bag body 26 to the front of a vehicle body adjacent to the ground surface.
