Abstract:
For the purpose of quickly measuring the temperature of a workpiece, the coordinate measuring stylus is exchanged for a temperature measuring head (3) using the principle of the switching contact probe. The latter supplies a contact signal after contact has been established with the workpiece. Starting from this instant, the temperature variation of the temperature measuring head (3) is measured and the values determined are stored by the computer of the coordinate measuring machine. A numerical evaluation method is used to extrapolate the workpiece temperature from a specific measurement interval. After the required measurement interval, the temperature measuring head (3) is once again exchanged for the required contact stylus combination.
