Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groundwater decontamination system and a groundwater decontamination method enabling groundwater to be more efficiently and effectively decontaminated than conventional ones.SOLUTION: The groundwater decontamination system includes an underground hole 1 formed in a contaminated area of the ground G, and a decontamination apparatus B inserted in the underground hole 1, for collecting contaminants from groundwater W in the underground hole 1. The decontamination apparatus B comprises: a collecting body 2 having collecting elements 2a for collecting the contaminants present in the groundwater W, a collecting body housing vessel 3 having a groundwater suction port 3a and a groundwater discharge port 3b and housing one or a plurality of collecting bodies 2; and a pump 4 for causing the groundwater W to pass through the collecting body housing vessel 3 through the groundwater suction port 3a and a groundwater discharge port 3b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
