Abstract:
To provide a groundwater purification apparatus which can remove volatile organic compounds at a high ratio and can be constructed in a small size; and a groundwater purification method using such groundwater purification apparatus.
A spiral guide 7b extending spirally in the vertical direction is installed along the inner peripheral surface of a well casing 7. An aeration apparatus 8 installed at the lower side of the well casing 7 spirally produces very fine air bubbles. The bubbles ascend under the guide of the spiral guide 7b to cause volatile organic compounds in groundwater to move into the gas phase, thus purifying the groundwater.
