PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growth-promoting agent useful for the growth of Anguilliform leptocephalus, such as Anguilla japonica.SOLUTION: The invention provides a growth-promoting agent of Anguilliform leptocephalus which contains a hyaluronic acid production promoting agent as an active ingredient. More specifically the hyaluronic acid production promoting agent is a hyaluronic acid production promoting agent obtained from eumycetes and/or marine algae.
