Abstract:
To provide an effective growth-promoting agent.
This growth-promoting agent which provides a substitute for fetal bovine serum is obtained from a milk product. Furthermore, a milk product extract composition comprises a plurality of cell growth promoting factors extracted from the milk product in a concentrated form and having a basic or a nearly neutral isoelectric point. A pharmaceutically or a veterinary composition comprises a cell culture composition and the milk product extract. A method for preparing the composition and a method for using the composition are provided.
